Lasers for Plasterers — Plumb walls. Level ceilings.
Multi-line lasers for plasterers. Project a horizontal ceiling reference, vertical wall plumb, and a square set-out — solo. Catch wall bulges before the set goes on. Plus a special mention for the GREEN624GM rotating laser, which flexes into raked and suspended-ceiling work in a way no line laser can.
Multi-line lasers for plasterers
Project plumb vertical and level horizontal lines around the room. Run the line across the wall — bulges that aren’t visible to the eye throw a clear shadow on the laser line. Premium ultra-bright models for daily commercial work; budget models for occasional jobs and DIY.
Budget multi-line range
GREEN624GM for raked & suspended ceilings
The GREEN624GM rotating laser is unique in the RedBack range — Class 3R green beam for ultimate visibility, plus a SCAN function that imitates a line laser. Use the slope remote or Auto Grade Match to tilt the beam down for raked or suspended ceilings, mounted on a wall bracket and panned down to the height you need.
Plastering jobs a laser pays for itself on
Where a laser earns its keep on a plastering job — most of these are jobs you’d otherwise check repeatedly with a long spirit level or a chalk line.
Wall plumb & bulge detection
Run the vertical line down the wall — any bulge throws a shadow on the line. Catch a wall that’s out of plumb before the set goes on, fix it now rather than re-skim later.
Ceiling level & suspended grid
Level horizontal line all the way around the room sets the ceiling line for the cornice or the suspended-ceiling grid track. One person, every wall hits the same height.
Dado & chair-rail set-out
Mark dado, chair-rail, picture-rail or wainscot heights right around the room from a single laser set-up. Consistent height, no chalk-line redo.
Raked & pitched ceilings
Use the GREEN624GM on a wall bracket, tilt the beam to match the ceiling rake, and project the line right across the work. The slope remote dials the angle by hand; Auto Grade Match locks to a target receiver position.
Cornice & bulkhead set-out
Square laser projects two perpendicular vertical lines plus a horizontal — set out cornice corners, bulkhead drops and shadow lines from a single set-up.
Stud-frame plumb checks
Before plasterboard goes up, run the vertical line down the stud line. Any frame that’s out of plumb shows immediately — pack or shift before the sheets go on.
The RedBack difference
Anyone can sell a line laser. Few back it properly.
Specialist range, not filler
We sell laser levels and measurement tools — that’s it. Every laser on this page is one we’ve used and chosen because it works for plasterers, not because it fills a catalogue page.
Built to last, built to be repaired
Solid construction, built for the long term. RedBack provides in-house repair and calibration services for all RedBack lasers and most other laser brands.
Real support, real people
Call us and you’ll speak to someone who knows the products. No scripts, no call centre, no runaround — just straight answers from people who’ve worked with these tools for 25 years.
Accessories for plasterers
Indoor monopole for floor-to-ceiling height adjustment, wall mount bracket for the GREEN624GM raked-ceiling work, suction-mount with dust collection for adjustable in-room positions, plus line laser receivers for outdoor work.
