Site Levelling Lasers — One person, every height.
Auto-levelling rotating lasers for site-levelling work. Three steps up the range — entry-level horizontal, premium grade laser, and dual-grade Digital Dial-a-Grade. All IP66, all read with a millimetre receiver on a staff. Solo, accurate, dependable.

BASIC614 — premium laser, affordable price
One-button electronic levelling, heavy-duty steel chassis, tilt/vibration and wind sensors, dual-sided receiver. Plain horizontal-only operation — no grade. The right pick if you only need site level and the price gap matters.
±1.5 mm @ 20 m accuracy · 600 m range with receiver · 5 year warranty · IP66
EL614GM — single-grade site laser
Same one-button electronic levelling, plus single-axis grade and Auto-Grade Match for 1-person grade setting. Manual slope remote dials the grade by hand; AGM locks the laser plane to a target receiver position. Hard case, rechargeable batteries, mm receiver included.
±1.5 mm @ 20 m accuracy · 600 m range with receiver · 5 year warranty · IP66 · Single-axis grade ±5%
DGL1010GM — Digital Dial-a-Grade
Top of the range. Dual-axis grade, digital dial-a-grade input, machine-control compatible. Set falls in two directions independently for compound grades on slabs, pads and channels — type the value in, the laser holds it. Up to 500 m radius from one set-up.
±1 mm @ 30 m accuracy · 1000 m range with receiver · IP66 · Dual-axis digital dial-a-grade
Site-levelling jobs the rotating laser earns its keep on
Where a rotating site-levelling laser pays for itself — paddock-scale outdoor work, full sun, every height off a single set-up.
Site cut & fill
Set instrument height off the survey peg, walk the cut/fill points with the receiver on the staff. Every height marked off the same datum, no compounding error from re-measuring.
Slab & footing levels
Set FFL across the slab, check footing depths, screed-level boxing. One person, every check off the same datum, faster than a dumpy.
Drainage falls & grade
Set the laser to a known fall (1-in-100, 1-in-200) and run the work to grade for the entire length. Single laser set-up, hundreds of metres covered.
Datum / RL transfer
Run a benchmark off the survey peg, set instrument height, transfer the datum to wherever you need it on the site. One laser plane, all the heights come off it.
Decking & pergola heights
Single laser set-up sets joist heights consistently across a long deck, post heights across a long pergola. Tilt for fall away from the house with a single-grade laser.
Earthworks & pad trim
Pair the rotating laser with a machine receiver mounted on the blade — operator gets a heads-up height reading while trimming. Step up to a full automation system for hands-free trim work.
The RedBack difference
Anyone can sell a laser. Few back it properly.
Specialist range, not filler
We sell laser levels and measurement tools — that’s it. Every laser on this page is one we’ve used and chosen because it works for site-levelling, not because it fills a catalogue page.
Built to last, built to be repaired
Solid construction, built for the long term. RedBack provides in-house repair and calibration services for all RedBack lasers and most other laser brands.
Real support, real people
Call us and you’ll speak to someone who knows the products. No scripts, no call centre, no runaround — just straight answers from people who’ve worked with these tools for 25 years.
Accessories for site work
Tripod and 5 m staff for setting up the rotating laser, plus hand-held and machine-mount receivers for level checks at distance and on the blade.
