Using a machine laser receiver with excavators and other earthmoving equipment with RedBack Lasers
How to Select the right Machine Receiver from RedBack Lasers
RedBack Lasers’ MR710 machine-mounted receiver comes complete with both clamp and magnet mounts. Machine Receivers increase your on-site efficiency by allowing the operator to get height readings from the cabin of their machine, rather than needing to check with a staff. The MR710 is designed to work with most red rotating laser levels.
The clamp mount allows you to firmly attach the receiver onto a machine with rod structure (not supplied) fixed to a boom or blade/bucket, giving extremely accurate height readings of these implements.
The magnet mount is primarily designed to attach to the side of an Excavator dipper arm, giving height readings of your bucket, although it can also be attached to square tubing for blade use, or to the side of a skid steer/loader.
The MR710 features 360 degrees of reception and can pick up a laser anywhere within its massive 250mm reception window. When the laser moves out of this reception window the receiver will flash slowly indicating the last height the laser was detected.
On the receiver are 5 extremely bright clusters of LED lights indicating the height of the laser. These display both above and below level as well as on level. The RedBack Lasers MR710 has an internal Ni-mh battery that can be charged with the included mains charging unit. It can also operate on a 12 or 24V system with the included cable with crocodile clips. Note though on a 12V system the receiver will still need a mains charge from time to time as the 12V system will only top up the internal battery not fully charge it.
The MR710 is the ideal machine receiver for use over multiple machines and implements due to having both magnets and clamps, making it an extremely versatile unit. Machine receivers are ideal for all types of earthmoving, excavating, and groundworks for level and grades and can be installed on a number of machines. This is a great receiver for Excavators, Box Blade, Grade Blade, Dozer, Bobcat, Skid Steer and more.
