The AUTO1 Rotating Laser by Level1 is simple to use, compact auto levelling (Horiz) rotating laser level.
Firstly place the laser level on a tripod (optional extra), secondly unlock the pendulum.
Then finally press the power button and your ready to level.
The AUTO1 can also operate on its side for vertical rotation by placing the laser on its side mount. Levelling is achieved by using the adjustment screw and bubble vial. Power up the laser and it will start rotating, note the laser level is manually levelling when in vertical mode. Vertical mode allows for vertical alignment jobs and a dot laser at 90 degrees to the rotating plane allows for basic site squaring.
Other features of the AUTO1 include; wall/side mount bracket, 3 rotation speed settings and Rubberised housing.
The AUTO1 comes complete with an LR710 electronic receiver with LCD display and standard “AA” batteries all in a soft carry bag.
The AUTO1 is ideal for all general site levelling applications and can be used both outdoors with the receiver and indoors visibly. Often purchased by owner builders, farmers and renovators plus low use tradies.
The Level1 AUTO1 comes with a 12 month manufacturers warranty.
The Auto1 uses a pendulum to automatically level to horizontal. The Rotating Laser diode then spins around horizontal to create a signal that the receiver can detect. This allows you to get consistent height readings within the range of the laser (240m Diameter).
Vertical Alignment is the same principle as horizontal levelling, but with the laser turned on its side (90º) so that the rotating laser beam is tracing a vertical line instead of it’s usual horizontal.
In vertical alignment mode, you don’t unlock the pendulum to allow the laser to level (the Laser will beep and flash to alarm you if you try). You simply turn the laser on and allow it to spin without auto-levelling.
The Auto1 requires manual levelling when in the vertical alignment mode, which can be achieved using the spirit bubble built into the laser. There is a bracket which you can attach to the laser that allows you to easily level the laser without having to move the tripod or surface that the laser is mounted on.
The Auto1 is one of the easiest lasers to use.
First you simply mount the laser on a Tripod or sit it on a flat surface, then you unlock the pendulum dial on the side.
The laser will automatically level within seconds – all you need to do is to press the power button, and the laser will spin.
Once the laser is spinning, you’ll be able to detect the beam using the receiver.

Hi everyone
Purchased this auto1 laser used it for the first time the other day to set out a decking plan on a sloping block, so easy to use took a reading from the unit on the alfresco part then took readings for the corners 3 mts from the alfresco then the centre to work out the fall from the alfresco using the electronic pick up attached to the staff, the only thing I would change or add would be a guide marker on the slide that holds the pickup for the ability to read either side of the staff and some grooves in the slide so the slide guide can slide up the staff unimpeded by the pins on the sides of the staff, other than that it’s a great product and kit
Good service,prompt delivery, laser level itself works fine, but the laser receiver is very average. Used another brand receiver instead.
