Set the rotating laser to a known fall (1-in-100, 1-in-200) and pave to grade for the entire run. Receiver on the staff confirms the grade at every point — no string-and-bubble back-and-forth.
Retaining wall heights & courses
Run a level reference along the wall line for top-of-block, top-of-course or capping height. One person, every check off the same datum, courses stay straight over a long retaining run.
Garden bed & lawn levels
Set the laser plane to FFL or known datum, level the bed in to it. Lawn falls and bed edges hold true across the yard without rechecking with a tape every metre.
