A Class Above - Class 3R vs. Class 2

What is Class 3R? Class 3R refers to all lasers that have a power output of <5mW in their laser diodes.

In comparison, the majority of lasers sold in Australia are only Class 2, which means <1mW of power output for each diode.

Many of our competitors in the Australian market claim to have "the world's brightest laser" despite only selling Class 2 products.

Class 2 vs. Class 3R makes a massive difference to the visibility of a laser beam - which is what our competitors don't want you to know.

People often ask us for Green Lasers because they've been told that they are brighter than Red - but it is actually the class or wattage that makes all the difference. Our Green & Red Class 3 Lasers are both just as visible as each other.

If you choose a RedBack Laser that is Class 3R - know that it is the most powerful and visible laser you are allowed to use in Australia. They are completely safe for use in trade, construction & DIY.
