The Auto-Align function is why these kits work where other lasers don’t.
Mount on a tripod or fix directly to a strainer post. Position at the start of your fenceline — or the middle if you need the full 700–800m range from one set-up.
Pick a reference point through the 9× scope — a star post, a tree edge, a paint mark on the ground — within 50m. Take the receiver to that exact mark and press the Auto-Align button. The laser swings until it finds the receiver and locks in line with the scope.
Walk the fenceline with the receiver. The laser shoots a 360° vertical line — as long as the receiver has line of sight, it’ll pick up the beam. Up the top of a hill, down in a gully — doesn’t matter. Mark, move on, ram in.
Set-up, alignment and marking out are all one-person tasks. If you’re short on labour or want to keep a fencing job solo, this kit takes the guesswork out of alignment.
Mark out 350–400m of posts in one direction from a set-up. Put the kit in the middle of the fenceline and you get 700–800m. Range varies with conditions — the further you stretch, the more intermittent the receiver, so pace your runs.
The laser shoots a full 360° vertical line. As long as the receiver has line of sight, it picks up the beam — up the top of a hill or way down in the bottom of a gully. Perfect for fencing in country that’s not flat.
Perpendicular brackets let the scope swing to 90° from the fenceline. Run one line, square the corner, run the next — no more eyeballing boundaries.
Tripod, post bracket, or laser slid over the top of a strainer — the kit mounts and moves multiple ways to suit the run in front of you.
The patented differentiator. Pick a target through the scope, put the receiver on the same mark, press Auto-Align — the laser locks in line automatically. Other lasers can’t do this, which is why they don’t work for fencing.
Anyone can sell a fencing laser. Few back it properly — and none double as a site laser the rest of the year.
Competitor fencing lasers only do fencing. Ours doesn’t — the same EGL624GM or DGL1010GM runs horizontal levelling and grade work the rest of the year. One tool, two jobs.
Solid construction, built for the long term. RedBack provides in-house repair and calibration services for all RedBack lasers and most other laser brands.
The EGL624GM, DGL1010GM and their grade-match siblings all come with a full 5-year warranty and include a rechargeable battery, charger, tracking receiver and remote as standard.
Yes. The entire kit is designed for single-person operation. Set-up is easy, aligning the laser to match the scope is a 1-button press, and marking out posts with the receiver is a walk. If you’re struggling to get help on fencing jobs, this is the kit.
Roughly 350m (Standard kit) or 400m (Premium kit) fencing in one direction from a strainer post. Put the kit in the middle of the line and you can get 700–800m total from one set-up, though finding a good middle point takes a bit longer. Range varies with conditions — the further you push, the more intermittent the receiver gets.
Both work. In-line is easiest when you’re first learning the kit — laser and scope both aim where the fenceline will be. The only downside: if you want to ram in each post as you go, rammed posts can block the receiver from detecting the laser. In that case, set the laser at an offset to the scope so the laser and receiver have clear line of sight even with posts in the ground.
Yes — this is one of the biggest advantages over stringlines, sighter wires and other methods. The laser shoots a full 360° vertical line, so as long as the receiver has line of sight of the laser, it’ll detect the beam. That’s up the top of a hill or down the bottom of a gully. Perfect for fencing country that’s not flat.
The EGL624GM, GREEN624GM and DGL1010GM all work with the FVAK64 Fencing & Vertical Alignment Kit. If you already own one of those lasers, you only need the FVAK64 add-on rather than a full kit. Call us on 1800 769 858 and we’ll put the right combo together for you.
It’s why this kit works where a generic rotating or line laser doesn’t. You pick a target within 50m through the scope — a star post, a paint mark, the edge of a tree. Take the receiver to that same mark and press Auto-Align. The laser head rotates automatically until it finds the receiver and locks in line with the scope. Once the scope and laser are in the same direction, anywhere you sight through the scope, your laser line will be aiming the same way.
