Manual Dual Grade Lasers such as the EM623, EGL624/G, CXR880 can set grade on either the X or Y axis or both at the same time, grade setting requires measuring out a distance from the laser to the receiver and calculating the distance you need to move the receiver up or down from level to get the grade required, the remote then is used to slope the plain of the laser to meet the receiver. With the laser plane now set at the required grade slope the receiver will show level on that grade slope when along or parallel to this axis. The DGL3000 is an Electronic Digital Auto Grade in that you simply enter the required grade as a pecentage into the panel and the laser does the rest, ideal if you are setting grades day in and day out. The PL650 is a specialised pipe alignment and grade visible dot laser.
